Vacant Post of ZEO Hampers Daily Affairs in Sogam Zone
Kupwara, Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) position has remained empty last 22 days in the Sogam education zone of Kupwara district, which has caused the office to function inefficiently, thus, resulting in inconvenience to the entire teaching and non-teaching staff.
Subsequently, the current ZEO position has been kept under unoccupancy after the retirement of the predecessor leaving workers with the admin and financial hurdles.
“The transfer delay of December has made the staff go through a lot of financial strain,” mentioned one of the employees, besides adding that the approval files are also gathering at the same time.
Syed Lateef Nazki, Zonal President of JKReTTF, gave his views on the administrative blockade which he stated his worry about. “As per our information, this delay is not just affecting wages but also it is a stumbling block in the whole overall educational administration in the area,” he stated.
MLA Lolab Qaiser Jamsheed Lone said the matter would soon be solved. “The ZEO will be appointed within a few days,” he voiced with hope.
This assurance from the MLA brought some relief to the employees who long for the appointment to allow them a smoothn-run operation of the zone. (ANB)
