Sensex, Nifty trade in positive territory

Benchmark domestic equity indices, Sensex and Nifty, were trading in positive territory in the afternoon trade today, led by the Oil and Gas and Realty sectors.

The 30-share BSE Sensex gained 304 points, or 0.4 per cent, to 76,837, and the NSE Nifty50 added 121 points, or 0.52 per cent, to 23,284, when reports last came in.

Earlier, both the indices had a subdued opening, as the US Federal Reserve meeting voted unanimously to pause the rate cut cycle.
