Jammu Police Rescue Two Kidnapped Girls, Arrest Non-Local Accused
Jammu, Jammu Police have successfully solved two separate kidnapping cases, rescuing both victims and arresting the accused, who are non-locals.
In the first case, reported on January 19, 2025, a 16/17-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped from her home in Jammu by Sonu Kumar from Uttar Pradesh, currently residing in Jammu. A complaint was filed at Police Station Domana, leading to FIR No. 20/2025 under Section 137(2) BNS.
The second incident occurred on January 31, 2025, when a 24-year-old woman was abducted by Md. Asfak from Jharkhand. A case was registered at Police Post Pouni Chak under FIR No. 28/2025 (Section 366 IPC).
Special police teams traced the victims outside J&K, safely recovered them, and arrested the accused. Both girls have been reunited with their families, and further investigations are ongoing. [KNT]
