Exchange of fire in Hiranaga Kathua

Kathua, Gunshots were heard in Sanyal area of Hiranagar Kathua on Sunday evening.
Reports said that locals observed suspicious movement and informed the police. The joint forces cordoned off the area and conducted a search operation.
During the search operation, there was an exchange of fire. The exchange of fire stopped after some time while the search operation is underway.
Defense sources said that militants proceeded towards dense forest area and are believed to be three in number.
The intermittent firing was going on till the filing of this report. [KNT]
