Milkfed launches ‘Veera’ mascot for Verka to boost brand nationwide

In Punjab, Milkfed, the seventh largest Punjab-based milk cooperative of India, has launched its mascot ‘Veera’ for its dairy brand ‘Verka’ to popularise its products and boost sales across the country. The mascot, Veera, which means brother, depicts a smiling young Sikh boy extending greetings with folded hands. A la Amul girl in a polka-dotted frock.

 

The mascot was launched during the foundation stone-laying ceremony of a project of worth 135 crore rupees in Amritsar district yesterday, aimed at enhancing the capacity of sterilized flavored milk and new fermented dairy products like Lassi, Curd and Flavored Milk.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Man, who laid the foundation stone, said that Verka is now also being launched on e-commerce platforms so that its quality products will be available online to all across the globe.
