Sensex surges 1,357 points, Nifty jumps 441

Domestic benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty, opened in the green today despite global uncertainty amid US tariffs. BSE Sensex gained over 1,357 points to 75,20,4, and Nifty went up 441 points to trade at 22,841, with both indices advancing over 1.3 per cent in early trade, when reports last came in.

The increase follows a global rebound in equities, sparked by a volatile trading session in the U.S. markets.
