Sensex, Nifty trade lower amid mixed global cues & heavyweight sell-off

The Benchmark domestic equity indices, Sensex and Nifty, were trading with modest losses in afternoon trade today amid mixed global cues and sell-off in index heavyweights. The 30-share BSE Sensex lost 259 points to 79,858 and the NSE Nifty50 declined 63 points to 24,266, when reports last came in.
