Justice Bhushan Ramkrishna Gavai takes oath as 52nd Chief Justice of India

Justice Bhushan Ramkrishna Gavai today took oath as the 52nd Chief Justice of India.

President Droupadi Murmu administered the oath of office to Justice Gavai at a special ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan this morning. Justice B R Gavai succeeded Justice Sanjiv Khanna, who demitted office yesterday.

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several Union Ministers, and judges of the Supreme Court attended the ceremony, among others.
