Man jumps into Jhelum River in North Kashmir’s Baramulla

Baramulla,  KNT : An unidentified person reportedly jumped into the Jhelum River in the Azad Gunj area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla town on Monday.

Eyewitnesses said the incident caused commotion in the area, with people rushing to the riverbank. Eyewitnesses told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that a man tried to save him, however, his efforts proved futile as the man drowned and failed to raise his head from the muddy river water.
Efforts are on to trace the body of the unknown man. [KNT]
