Despite Rain Forecast, Uthrada Pachil Enthusiasm High in Kerala

Kerala is all set to celebrate Thiru Onam on Friday. Today marks Uthradam, the ninth day of the Onam festival. As tradition goes, the last-minute shopping spree known as Uthrada Pachil adds colour and significance to this penultimate day of the celebrations.

Thousands of cultural programmes and shopping fairs across the state will reach their peak today. Prediction of isolated heavy rain in four northern districts will not decrease the charm of uthrada pachil.
