Pilgrimage to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi to Resume from Sept 14

Jammu, KNT : The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi yatra, which had been suspended following landslides that led to casualties along the route, will resume from Sunday, September 14, an official said on Saturday.

The pilgrimage was halted earlier this month as a precautionary measure after the incident that claimed lives and raised safety concerns.

Authorities later carried out restoration work and reviewed security and safety measures before announcing the resumption.

The official confirmed that devotees will once again be allowed to undertake the journey to the revered shrine from September 14. [KNT]
