IMD Forecasts Heavy Rainfall Over Northeast and South India Today

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall over Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Tripura today.

Heavy rainfall is also predicted over Andhra Pradesh, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, Odisha, South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal today as well.

The weather agency also forecast thunderstorms accompanied by lightning over Gangetic West Bengal, Lakshadweep, and Telangana for the next two days.

Meanwhile, squally weather with wind speed reaching 35-45 kmph is likely to prevail over the west-central adjoining northwest Arabian sea, Gulf of Mannar and adjoining Comorin area.
