Transport Department orders transfer and posting of ARTOs

Srinagar, KNT: The Transport Department of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday ordered the transfer and posting of Assistant Regional Transport Officers and In charge ARTOs in the interest of administration.

According to Government Order No 04 JK(TR) of 2026 dated January 20, issued by the Transport Department, the transfers have been ordered consequent upon the placement of services of Junior Scale JKAS officers at the disposal of the department.

As per the order, Varun Bhasin, Junior Scale JKAS, who was awaiting adjustment in the Transport Department, has been posted as ARTO BOI Passenger, Jammu. Muazzam Ali, Junior Scale JKAS, earlier posted as ARTO Flying Squad Srinagar, has been transferred and posted as ARTO Anantnag.

Meanwhile, Mubashir Jan Bhat, who was serving as In charge ARTO Anantnag, has been transferred and posted as In charge ARTO Flying Squad Srinagar.

The order states that the transfers and postings shall take effect immediately. Copies of the order have been forwarded to the General Administration Department, Ministry of Home Affairs, Deputy Commissioners concerned, Regional Transport Officers and other relevant authorities for information and compliance.

The order has been issued by the Transport Department under the authority of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir. [KNT]
