J&K Activates 24×7 Helplines for Residents Returning From Iran
Srinagar, KNT: The Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday activated dedicated round-the-clock helplines to assist residents of the Union Territory returning from Iran.
The move follows an advisory issued by the Embassy of India in Tehran on February 23, 2026, amid concerns over the prevailing situation in the region.
According to an official circular, the helplines have been established to facilitate information-sharing and provide necessary assistance to J&K residents who are either planning to return or are already in transit.
Officials said the helplines will remain operational 24×7 to ensure coordination and timely support to those affected.
The numbers issued for assistance are Hello J&K: 7303620090 and Control Room: 011-24611108, 011-24611210.
Authorities said the initiative is aimed at ensuring smooth communication between returning residents and the administration in view of the advisory issued for Indian nationals. [KNT]
