GOC Rising Star Corps Reviews Operational Preparedness in Mamun Sector

Srinagar, KNT: General Officer Commanding (GOC) Rising Star Corps, Lieutenant General Rajan Sharawat on Wednesday reviewed the operational preparedness of troops in the Mamun sector.

The Mamun sector, headquartered at Pathankot, oversees operational areas of the border districts of Samba and Kathua in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Defence PRO Jammu, the Corps Commander assessed the readiness of troops and reviewed the prevailing security situation in the sector.

During the visit, Lieutenant General Sharawat commended the troops for their professionalism, high morale and dedication to duty, and urged them to maintain operational vigilance along the border. [KNT]
