Vehicular traffic resumes on Jammu-Srinagar NH44 after landslides

In Jammu and Kashmir, vehicular traffic was restored on the 270 kilometers long strategic Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH44) today after clearing landslides that blocked road connectivity in Ramban district for a day.

The traffic was restored on the highway this morning following clearance of landslides. Passenger vehicles are now allowed to ply from both directions – Jammu to Srinagar and vice versa – on the national highway. The vehicular movement was stopped on the national highway yesterday as landslides and shooting stones blocked both roads between Karol Bridge and Chanderkote.
