Anantnag Police Demolish Alleged Illegal Shops Linked to Drug Peddlers in Larnoo
Anantnag, KNT: Authorities on Thursday demolished two allegedly illegal shops linked to suspected drug peddlers in Larnoo area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district as part of an ongoing crackdown against narcotics networks.
Officials said the action was carried out jointly by Anantnag Police, Revenue Department, and Forest Department.
The demolished structures were allegedly owned by Asif Ali Pala and Nisar Ahmad Kasana, both identified by police as alleged drug peddlers.
According to officials, the twin shops had allegedly been constructed illegally on forest land.
The demolition was part of a broader campaign targeting what police described as the “drug ecosystem” in the district, including properties allegedly linked to narcotics-related activities.
Officials said strict action against drug peddling networks and encroachments associated with illegal activities would continue in the coming days. [KNT]
