Rampora Chattabal Residents Protest Water Shortage, Seek Immediate Relief
Srinagar, KNT: Locals of the Rampora Chattabal area in Srinagar on Tuesday complained of an acute drinking water shortage, saying the prolonged disruption in supply has severely affected daily life and pushed families into distress.
According to local residents, the area has been witnessing a serious water crisis for the past several days, forcing people to struggle even for basic drinking water needs.
The shortage, residents said, has disrupted household routines and created difficulties for families dependent on regular public water supply.
Locals said women, children, and elderly persons were bearing the brunt of the ongoing crisis and were facing increasing hardship in arranging water for drinking and household use.
“We don’t have water even to drink. People are suffering badly due to this shortage and our daily routine has been badly affected,” several residents said while expressing resentment over the situation.
They alleged that despite the worsening situation, the supply issue had not been adequately addressed.
They appealed to the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Jal Shakti Department to intervene immediately and restore proper water supply in the locality. KNT]
