Home Minister Amit Shah Pays Tribute To Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore On His Death Anniversary

Home Minister Amit Shah has offered salutations to Poet Laureate Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore on his death anniversary. In a social media post, Mr Shah said that Tagore gave voice to the soul of India and infused new consciousness into the freedom movement through his writings.

The Minister added that Tagore’s immortal creation ‘Jana Gana Mana’ is a symbol of the nation’s unified consciousness and self-pride. Further, Mr Shah noted that the Poet Laureate elevated the glory of Indian culture, philosophy, and education onto the global stage by establishing Visva-Bharati University. The Home Minister underlined that Tagore’s literature remains an inexhaustible source of inspiration for millions of countrymen even today.
