IMD Issues Red Alert For Very Heavy To Extremely Heavy Rainfall In Jharkhand
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red colour warning for very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in Jharkhand today. Weather Agency forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall in Bihar, Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha and West Uttar Pradesh today.
According to IMD, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Chandigarh, Haryana, Delhi, East Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, North Eastern States, Karaikal, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Mahe will experience heavy rainfall till Thursday.
The Met Department also predicted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds over Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar Islands for the next two to three days. IMD has advised fishermen not to venture into the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal till today.
