IMD Forecasts Heavy Rainfall Over Several Parts Of North And Northeast India Today

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast very heavy rainfall conditions over north Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand today.

The weather agency predicted heavy rainfall over parts of North-east India, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi today. Similar weather conditions are expected over Bihar, Jharkhand, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Vidarbha, Coastal and South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe during the day.

According to the IMD, North Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Coastal Karnataka, East Rajasthan, Jammu-Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, and Madhya Maharashtra, are going to experience thunderstorms and lightning conditions today.
