Union Minister Pralhad Joshi Discusses Strengthening NTH Testing Facilities

Union Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Minister Pralhad Joshi held a meeting with the Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs, Nidhi Khare, to discuss restructuring the National Test House (NTH) Cadre and strengthening its testing facilities to ensure they meet global standards.

In a social media post, Mr Joshi said that during the meeting, emphasis was laid on building a robust, future-ready testing ecosystem that can support quality assurance, strengthen consumer protection and instil greater confidence in the quality and safety of products. Deliberations also focused on modernising the testing infrastructure, enhancing technical capabilities and strengthening NTH’s institutional framework.
