Bihar Flood Situation Remains Serious As Ganga And Other Rivers Flow Above Danger Mark

The flood situation in Bihar remains serious, with the Ganga and several other rivers flowing above the danger mark. However, there is some relief from the Sone River. Discharge from the Indrapuri Barrage has dropped sharply from 5.54 lakh cusecs on Wednesday to 1.96 lakh cusecs by Sunday afternoon. As the Sone joins the Ganga near Patna, the reduced discharge has eased pressure at Digha and Gandhi Ghat.

Floodwaters are now slowly receding, and the situation is expected to improve further. Relief and rescue operations continue in the affected areas, with NDRF and SDRF teams and government boats deployed for assistance.
