ISRO Earned Global Admiration For Its Excellence In Cost-Effective Missions, Says PM Modi Virtually At ISS

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that India supports a safe, secure, peaceful and sustainable space domain anchored in international law, dialogue and multilateral cooperation. Mr Modi said, India’s approach is rooted in Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, that is, One Earth, One Family, One Future. Mr Modi said this while virtually addressing the International Space Summit being held in France. The Prime Minister said that scientific data must serve a common goal, with openness and integrity. He added, India’s space journey reflects this philosophy.

He said that ISRO has earned global admiration for its excellence in cost-effective missions. The Prime Minister further said that ISRO’s capabilities serve farmers, fishermen, weather forecasting, disaster management and navigation. Mr Modi highlighted that more than four hundred satellites from 34 countries have travelled to space aboard Indian rockets, and that ISRO’s technologies and partnerships serve not only India, but the wider world. He said, behind this global trust is the dedication and hard work of generations of Indian scientists, engineers and technicians. The Prime Minister said that ISRO has built its reputation mission by mission, success by success, and given India a place of pride among spacefaring nations.
Highlighting on India’s achievement, the Prime Minister said that Chandrayan-3 made India the first nation to land near the lunar south pole and Aditya-L1 is unlocking the secrets of the Sun. He also stressed on India’s aim to establish an Indian space station by 2035 and send an Indian to the Moon by 2040. The Prime Minister said that India’s private space sector is also surging in a big way. He said that the country’s cooperation spans Earth observation and advanced technologies, uniting scientific excellence with human purpose. Mr Modi also invited France and the world to be co-travellers in India’s next space frontier.
