Union Minister Nitin Gadkari Launches ‘One Tag’ Facility For FASTag Portability In Mumbai

Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari today launched the ‘One Tag’ facility for FASTag portability in Mumbai. It allows vehicle owners to link their existing FASTag to a new bank account through the Rajmarg Yatra app.
With this facility, motorists will no longer need to remove or replace their existing FASTag sticker when changing their bank account. They can continue using the same FASTag by simply linking it to the new account.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Gadkari said, the government aims to bring down the waiting time at toll plazas to less than 10 seconds by the end of the current financial year. He added that the National Highways Authority of India is also working on a system that will allow motorists to pay tolls without stopping at toll plazas. The Union Minister also highlighted various initiatives being undertaken by the government to improve road transport and enhance the travelling experience for motorists.
