Puducherry LG K. Kailashnathan Flags Off Indian Coast Guard Beach-Cleaning Drive

Puducherry Lieutenant Governor K. Kailashnathan today flagged off a beach-cleaning drive organised by the Indian Coast Guard in the union territory on the occasion of International Coastal Cleanup Day.

The cleanliness drive was held near the Gandhi Statue on Beach Road. Puducherry Home  Minister A. Namassivayam, Chief Secretary Sharat Chauhan, Indian Coast Guard District Commander S. S. Dasila, Secretary Smitha, college students and volunteers participated in the drive.

Earlier, the Lieutenant Governor visited an exhibition showcasing photographs of various activities of the Indian Coast Guard.
