Devotees Visit Ganesh Pandals In Pune

The festive spirit of Ganeshotsav has reached its peak in Pune, with large crowds gathering for Ganapati darshan and to witness the attractive tableaux created by various Ganesh mandals. The tableaux, based on mythological, historical and scientific themes, are receiving an enthusiastic response from citizens.

Devotees from Pune as well as neighbouring areas are visiting the city in large numbers. Major Ganesh mandals in central Pune have been decorated with attractive illumination, drawing crowds till late at night. The heavy rush of devotees has led to traffic congestion on some major roads, and police have made special arrangements to regulate traffic and ensure smooth movement.
