Senior Women’s Team departs to participate in national championship
The senior Women’s team to represent J&K in the One Day tournament being organized by the BCCI left Jammu today for Kolkata. The team was given a send – off by the members of the Sub-Committee JKCA, selectors and CAC members. The team will initially play league matches at Kolkata from 28th October to 06th November. In keeping with the covid protocol, the team will be quarantined at Kolkata from 20th October to 25th October informed Ankita Jalla Team Manager.
A group photograph was taken to commemorate the occasion. Thereafter, motivational talks were given to the team by Brig Anil Gupta, Mithun Manhas, Roopali Salathia and Surbhee Dadeechi. Ashwani Gupta gave tips for mental concentration and staying at the pitch to hold one end.
J&K contingent consists of 20 players and 10 – member support staff. The players include Sapna Jamwal, Bushra Ashraf, Sheeraza Bano, Sarla Devi, Rubia Syed, Riya Singh, Lali Jan, Bisma, Heena Kouser, Iqra Rasool, Rifat Choudhary, Abraq Zahoor, Deepakshi Gupta, Mehak Jan, Nadia Choudhary, Sandhya Sayal, Kajal Bhagat, Rudrakshi Chib, Ananya Sharma, Lalita.
Those in the support staff include Chetan Dhingra Head Coach, Joint Manager Rajesh Dhar, Abida Nazir Bowling Coach, Dr. Talia Qadri Physiotherapist, Rohit Rana Strength and Conditioning Coach, Meenu Slathia Side Arm Expert, Hinan Fielding Coach and Dr. Aashwarya Jamwal Team Physician.
