Webinar on NEP 2020 and School Education
A Webinar on NEP 2020 and School Education was organized by Sai Shyam College of Education Ghou-Manhasan, Jammu for the School Teachers of Marh Block.
The main speakers on the occasion were Dr. Alka Sharma and Ms. Shafali Gupta, Members NEP 2020 Directorate of School Education Jammu, who spoke at length about the recommendations of NEP 2020 on different stages of School Education.
In her talk Ms. Shafali Gupta threw light on eight Components of school education, she discussed in detail ECCE, Language Policy and development of infrastructure at school level, etc.
Dr. Alka Sharma while speaking on the topic opined minimizing the dropout rates as recommended in the policy. She also said that quality education can be ensured by maximizing and developing country’s rich talent and resources for the good of the individual, society and country as a whole.
Atleast Sixty five teachers from Government as well as Private School of Marh Block participated in the Webinar.
Earlier, Dr. Usha Tickoo Principal of the College welcomed the speakers and participants and also threw light on importance of organizing such programmes related to NEP 2020 for Teachers and other stakeholders. The participants also interacted with the speakers during the Webinar. Ms. Rajni Koul conducted the programme and Sh. H. K. Kitchloo presented the vote of thanks.
