Education deptt for enrolment of children in govt schools in valley
To facilitate optimum enrollment of children in government schools, the Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has directed officials to conduct one-month-long massive drives across the valley.
As per the reports, the campaign shall be formally kick-started by the Director of School Education Kashmir Tasaduq Hussain from the Kupwara district next Wednesday. The Directorate of School Education Kashmir has issued a circular in this regard.
The circular states that all the Chief Education Officers (CEO’s), Zonal Education Officers (ZEO’s) & Heads of Educational Institutions (HOIs) are advised to conduct massive enrollment drives in their respective jurisdiction from 10th November to 15th December.
Whereas all the concerned fields functionaries shall conduct this activity with immediate effect and document the achievements thereof, the month-long activities are prescribed for the campaign include door to door Campaigning by HOIS & Teachers, rallies by Children, Parent motivation camps involving SMC/VEC & other Community leaders, PRIs, Village elders, Car Rallies.
Updating Village Education Register for identification of Out of the School -children, and Children with Special Needs, DRGs, ZRPs & CRPs to coordinate and facilitate this activity on a war footing. Also, the activity should include mainstreaming out of school children (Drop Outs & Never Enrolled).
All Education Officers including Chief Education officers, Principal DIETS, HODS of DIETS, Deputy CEOs, DEPOs, DIET faculty, Zonal Education Officers, and Zonal Education Planning officers shall visit at least one or more habitations as a part of the door to door campaign in order to inspire field functionaries. Director School Education Kashmir is himself keen to be a part of this campaign at some habitations.
Also, all CEOs & ZEOs should oversee the campaign at District and Zonal Levels. Cluster Heads should also look after the campaign at the cluster/Complex Head level. All Covid SOPs (Covid Appropriate Behavior) should strictly be observed during the campaign.
Further, the schools have been asked to submit the information as per the format to ZEO. In turn, ZEO will forward the duly attested copy to the concerned Chief Education Officer, and CEOs shall forward the consolidated report duly signed to DSEK.
