COVID-19 || J&K records nine more deaths, 621 fresh cases
Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir recorded 9 more deaths due to COVID-19, pushing the total number of fatalities due to the deadly virus to 1,291, while the Union Territory recorded 621 positive cases on Thursday, taking the overall tally of infections to 81,097. 
Of the latest nine fatalities, seven deaths were reported in Jammu and 2 from Valley. With fresh seven deaths in Jammu region, the death toll has reached to 409. Out of seven fatalities in Jammu region, three were reported from Jammu district, one each from Udhampur, Doda and Poonch.
The deceased included a 40-year-old from Mendhar Poonch, a 50-year-old man from Galote Udhampur, a 65-year-old from R S Pora, a 90-year-old from Talab Tillo Jammu and a 30-year-old from Trikuta Nagar.
The death toll in Kashmir region has reached to 882 with two fresh fatalities. The two deaths were reported from one from Budgam and Bandipora district of Kashmir region.
Among fresh 696 cases, 38 travelers were, 21 security forces personnel and two doctors.
Among the cases, 276 were from Jammu Division and 420 from Kashmir Valley.
As per district wise breakup of the cases, they said Srinagar reported 186, Budgam 52, Baramulla 71,
Pulwama 22, Kupwara 15, Anantnag 21, Bandipora 18, Ganderbal 24, Kulgam 7, Shopian 4, Jammu 89,
Rajouri 34, Udhampur 17, Doda 10, Kathua 43, Poonch 47, Samba 11, Ramban 8, Kishtwar 15 and Reasi 2.
As per the daily information bulletin, 607,830 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 26,357 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 11,482 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 520,838 persons have completed surveillance period and 47,862 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 1,780,540 samples are available. Out of 1,780,540 the number of samples tested negative stands at 1,698,747 while 81,793 have tested positive, among them 12,482 are active, 69,020 persons have recovered and 1,291 persons have died.
