COVID-19 With 15 more deaths J&K‘s toll crosses 1300 mark, 636 new cases
Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir recorded 15 more deaths due to COVID-19, pushing the total number of fatalities due to the deadly virus to 1306, while the Union Territory recorded 636 positive cases on Friday, taking the overall tally of infections to 82,429.
Of the latest 15 fatalities, 12 deaths were reported in Jammu and 3 from Valley.
With fresh 12 deaths in Jammu region, the death toll has reached to 421. Out of fresh fatalities in Jammu region, seven reported from Jammu district, two each from Rajouri and Poonch and one from Kuthua.
The death toll in Kashmir region has reached to 885 with three fresh fatalities. Out of 3 deaths, two were reported form Srinagar and one from Baramulla.
Among 636 new cases, 373 belong to Kashmir division while as 263 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 49,381 including 42,341 recoveries and 885 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 33,048 including 27,638 recoveries and 421 deaths.
The officials said that total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 11,144 including 6,155 from Kashmir division and 4,989 from Jammu division.
With 959 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 69,979 which is 84.89 percent of the total cases.
Giving the district-wise details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 167, Budgam 38, Baramulla 50, Pulwama 23, Kupwara 14, Anantnag 26, Bandipora 17, Ganderbal 25, Kulgam 7, Shopian 6, Jammu 101, Rajouri 31, Udhampur 26, Doda 7, Kathua 22, Poonch 10, Samba 26, Ramban 8, Kishtwar 15 and Reasi 17.
As per officials figures, 16,331 positive cases including 312 deaths and 14,240 recoveries are from Srinagar, 5,300 including 89 deaths and 4,469 recoveries are from Budgam, 4,811 including 3,197 recoveries and 127 deaths are from Baramulla, 4,192 including 3,796 recoveries and 72 deaths are from Pulwama, 3,841 including 70 deaths and 3,146 recoveries are from Kupwara, 3,734 including 3,334 recoveries and 69 deaths are from Anantnag, 3,663 cases including 3,250 and 41 deaths are from Bandipora, 3,100 including 2,789 recoveries and 30 deaths are from Ganderbal, 2,324 including 2,199 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Kulgam and 2,085 including 1,921 recoveries and 32 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 15,051 including 13,328 recoveries and 219 deaths are from Jammu district, 2,952 including 2,370 recoveries and 41 deaths are from Rajouri, 2,469 including 2,142 recoveries and 22 deaths are from Udhampur, 2,378 including 1,549 recoveries and 38 deaths are from Doda, 2,240 including 2,070 recoveries and 29 deaths are from Kuthua, 1,967 including 1,183 recoveries and 20 deaths are from Poonch, 1,952 including 1,493 recoveries and 24 deaths are from Samba, 1,438 including 1,303 recoveries and 11 deaths are from Ramban, 1,486 including 1,252 recoveries and 11 deaths are from Kishtiwar and 1,115 including 948 recoveries and 06 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin, 609,728 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 26,029 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 11,144 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 523,165 persons have completed surveillance period and 48,084 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 1,800,252 samples are available.
Out of 1,800,252 the number of samples tested negative stands at 1,717,823 while 82,429 have tested positive, among them 11,144 are active, 69,979 persons have recovered and 1,306 persons have died.
