Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages celebrated mother tongue day here at K. L Saigal Hall and Abhinav Theatre, Jammu. The prominent poets from the various languages including Punjabi, Dogri, Kashmiri Gojri and Pahari enthralled the audience by reciting their poems with great zeal and enthusiasm which depicted various shades and colours of contemporary times. Dr. Arvinder Singh ’Amn’ Additional Secretary JKAACL while welcoming the writers and poets of different languages gave congratulations on this occasion. He said that Jammu and Kashmir academy of Art, Culture and Languages celebrates ‘Mother tongue day’ every year to spread awareness about the importance of Linguistic and Cultural diversity and multilingualism. Sh. Prem Nath Shad presiding over the Composite Mushaira while Sh. Inderjeet Kesar , Ajeet Singh Mastana were the guest of honors and also shared the presidium .
The noted poets of the Punjabi , Dogri , Kashmiri , Gojri and Pahari who recited their poems were Mr. Ajeet Singh Mastana , Mr. Joginder Singh Shan, Mr. Bachan Bharti, Mr. Bhupinder Bargav.(In Punjabi)

Sarwar Chouhan, Mr. Ayaz Saif, Mr. Jan Mohammad Hakeem .( In Pahari) The artists who mesmerized the audience by reciting folk and light songs in various languages including Muzamil Shah, Yousuf Armaan, Pallavi Koul, Rajesh Khar,,Naveen Punjabi. Nirbhay Salathia, Vishakha Bhardwaj while Rakesh Anand, Rajeev Salotra, Joginder Pal, Sanjay Kumar, Parmjeet and accompanied the artists
. Vijay Atri noted artsist of the state conducted the proceedings of Musical programme. Dr. Sudhir Mahajan, Sr. Drama instructor JKAACL was the overall incharge of the programme. Dr. Shahnawaz Choudhary , Editor -Cum -Culture office , JKAACL conducted the proceedings of the composite Mushaira while Assudulla wani Cultural officer Doda was the incharge programme .
