Sarkaryawah Dattatreya Hosabale of Rashtriya
Swayamsevak Sangh calls for steadfast National
Resolve for Return of Kashmiri Pandits to their
Homeland. Supports Demand for revival of
destroyed Temples and Shrines. Endorses
Setting up of an Educational Institution which
will be a center of excellence including on
Sharda script.

In his hard-hitting address to the Global Kashmiri
Pandit community on their auspicious Navreh
celebrations, Honorable Sarkaryawah Dattatreya
Hosabale of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh
squarely held the Terrorists responsible for the
seventh Genocide and Ethnic Cleansing of Kashmiri
Pandits from their homeland. To face the militant
Islamist threat would require Ekta, Unity. He
recognized that invaders had continuously
oppressed the Kashmiri Pandits who historically had
to either lose their homeland or lose their dharma.

He stated that India was at a historic crossroad
given the positive change that was sweeping
Kashmir. That a new staircase could take Kashmir
to a bright future. For Kashmiri Pandits it needed a
Sankalp, a unified resolve to give direction and
specificity to the vision. He blessed and endorsed
the Kashmiri Pandit community on their mission to
return to Kashmir by next Navreh. The final solution
to continuous Kashmiri Pandit genocide had to be
such that they would never have to suffer again.

Hosabale hailed Sirya Bhatta and Lalitaditya as two
icons of Kashmir who were exemplary role models
of sacrifice and bravery. He shared the story of
Guru Tegh Bahadur who fought for the Kashmiri
Pandits. He especially recognized the pain and
suffering of the Kashmiri Pandits who had to face
unremiNng violence and lost their lives, their
land, their living, their way of life and were
reduced to Internally Displaced People. He
named Pandit Tika Lal Taploo, JusTce Ganjoo,
Sarla BhaU .. who were murdered heinously and
whose only crime was that they were Hindus.
Hosabale was scathing in his criTcism that
Kashmir’s SanskriTc civilizaTon should not be
relegated to a museum or into books or                                                                                                      Bollywood films. It had to be present in Kashmiri
society, in the households, in the daily way of life.

Utpal Kaul, GKPD India Coordinator stated,
‘Honorable Hosabale’s highly moTvaTng speech
and commitment to the Kashmiri Pandit cause is
consistent with their long-term support. Guru
Golwalkar played a key role in convincing the
Maharaja to accede to India. During the horror of
1990, RSS gave humanitarian aid and support to
the beleaguered community. His ringing support
for revival of Sharada CivilizaTon is an important
endorsement of our cause and we look forward
to their support for the Temple and Shrines
ProtecTon and Governance Acts.’

Hosabale named the Temples of Khir Bhavani,
Martand Temple and AvanTpura as urgently
needing repair and revival. He expressed the
desire that Sharadapeeth University should be

Nirja Sadhu InternaTonal Coordinator stated,
‘Honorable Hosabale’s talk represents an                                                                                                              important step in the engagement of the
Kashmiri Pandit community with dharmic forces.
We thank RSS for giving a clear call that the Hindu
civilizaTonal heritage of Kashmir should be
brought back to life through a partnership
between the Government and Civil Society. GKPD
will build on this encouraging dialog and seek to
expand the support of RSS for all aspects of
JusTce for Kashmiri Pandit Genocide and Ethnic
Cleansing as laid out in the memorandum
presented to Honorable Prime Minister Modi.’

GKPD wishes Honorable Sarsanghchalak Mohan
Bhagwat ji well and looks forward to welcoming
him for a talk in the future as part of building civil
society momentum for #recogniseKPgenocide.
GKPD also thanks the thousands of global
community members who parTcipated in the
Navreh fesTval. GKPD is especially grateful to
Prime Minister Modi for his Navreh greeTngs to
the community. We look forward to greater,
across the board engagement in the Naya Varsh.
