DDC Vice Chairman conducts extensive two day tour of Shadab Karewa Shopian

Will leave no stone unturned to fulfill the aspirations of people and to see smile on their faces: Irfan Manhas

SRINAGAR, June 21: In an extensive two day tour and continued public outreach program, DDC Vice Chairman Shopian and Apni Party Youth Leader Irfan Manhas on Sunday along with Sarpanchs Rehan Khan and Manzoor Ahmad with a team of District officials including Executive Engineer PHE, PDD, AEE of R&B and others visited Shadab Karewa to take a first hand report of various developmental works going on across the village.
DDC Vice Chairman was apprised by AEE R&B regarding the ongoing road work and other impending road works to be executed in coming days.
Manhas appreciated the fast paced efforts put in by R&B department to macadamize many roads across the District. He emphasized on the quality of work to be completed in a stipulated time period.
Furthermore, the locals also shared many issues related to power system with the visiting Executive Engineer of PDD.
“There is a dire need to upgrade and improve the overall power infrastructure of the entire village and also connect a few remote areas which still lack electric connection in this modern era”, said Irfan Manhas.
Top official of PDD assured full support and instructed the department to streamline the existing power system.
Pertinently to mention here that for long many localities of Shadab Karewa are facing extreme hardships in terms of water scarcity.
DDC Vice Chairman and Executive Engineer PHE also visited these areas to assess the ground situation.
Manhas advised the concerned officials to mitigate the sufferings of these locals until there is a full implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission in the entire District.
Executive Engineer of PHE inspected the place and instructed his officials to work on the advise of DDC Vice Chairman. PHE top official also inspected many pipelines across the village.
Manhas also visited AarBagh playground at Shadab Karewa, which is having a potential space that can be fully developed into a modern art cricket stadium.
Various tournaments have been organized at the venue in which youth from other districts also participate.
Manhas interacted with the youth and Cricket players on the ground and assured them full support to develop much needed sports infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir.
DDC Vice Chairman also interacted with members of Sqay Martial Art Club Shadab Karewa and distribute 50 Martial Art mats among them on spot.
Manhas thanked people for their love and support during these public outreach programmes and reiterated his commitment towards the welfare of the people of District Shopian.
