YAIKS reiterates its demands for PM package employees

YAIKS UT of JK, July 22, 2021: We are optimistic about MODI Govt. that our displacement would come to an end during his regime and we will be reconnected back to our land of origin ‘Reshwaer’ without further delay. The microscopic community of Kashmiri Pandits have already lost two generations during the long exile of 32 years and more delay in our return can be proved counterproductive for the Nation & Nationalist forces in Kashmir Valley. This was disclosed by Pt. R. K. Bhat, the President of Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj and North India Coordinator of GKPD in a Press Conference here in Jammu along with the other political coordinators of YAIKS representing all the 46 Assembly segments of Kashmir Valley they originally belong to.. Mainly Shri Sanjay Ganjoo, Manoj Handoo, B K Bhat, Sanjay Raina, Ashwani Kak, Neeraj Koul, Vinod Bhat, Kamal Tak, Ajay Pandita, Vishal and others.
While referring the recent meeting of LG Shri Manoj Sinha with the UT Administration in which the directions were passed to expedite work on 6000 transit accommodations in the Valley and registering entire Kashmiri Pandits, Pt R K Bhat criticizes and rejects the proposal of 1BHK instead of already sanctioned 2BHK by the previous Governments. He further said till the construction is completed the vacant accommodation of Secretariat employees may be provided to migrant employees.
The following measures to be taken on fast track basis while expediting the transit accommodation for the entire Valley Posted Migrant Employees.
a)    The transit accommodation shall be made available on the pattern of Sheikhpura Construction (2 BHK) at already selected locations only for the entire migrant employees (PM and non PM Package Employees)
b)    Immediate construction & completion of all 550 flats at Vessu Pandit Colony, that already stands sanctioned for the employees, staying in that area.
c)    Immediate allotment / possession of quarters to already allotted employees at Vessu.
e)    Exempt PM Package employees from recently announced GAD SO 194. Otherwise this will be injustice with them.
YAIKS which is spearheading the employment / survival issues of the community is firm opinion that PM’s Employment component is the first step towards the return of Pandits to Valley. GOI need to form an Apex Committee of the real representatives of Kashmiri Pandits headed by Home Minister of India to discuss the return module and comprehensive rehabilitation package.
Political empowerment by reserving 5 Assemble and two Parliament seats, Preservation and protection of our Temples & Shrines in Kashmir Valley on the pattern of Gurdwara Prabandak Committee and Muslim Awqaf Borad and to restore our encroached land will be the real CMB’s. Job package to all unemployed youth and rupees 32 lacs (1 lac each year) compensation to over aged youth of the community who are the first victims of the migration. These demands needs to be addressed before any announcement of KP’s return in the real sence.
