Union ministers to start visiting J&K from Sept 10
A team of union ministers will start visiting Jammu and Kashmir from the next week to review development activities in the union territory and carry feedback of the public as well as the administration for the consideration of the central government.
As per sources, the union ministry of home affairs is finalizing the tour, which will begin from September 10. In both Jammu and Kashmir divisions, ministers will go to the people and apprise the people about the central schemes. Along with this, we will take initiative to connect the last person of the society with the schemes.
Sources said that the Home Ministry is fixing the tour schedule of the Union Ministers in all the 20 districts of Jammu and Kashmir division. The Minister of State in the PMO, Dr. Jitendra Singh has been entrusted with the task of coordinating with the Union Home Ministry. Remote areas have also been included in the tour so that initiatives can be taken to provide benefits of the schemes to the people there.
According to sources, ministers will also visit all the districts of Kashmir division. It is being seen that in which areas the public will get more benefit by sending which ministers. For this, the officials of the state administration have also been asked to prepare a blueprint. After the removal of Article 370, the central government is very serious about development in Jammu and Kashmir due to the removal of many restrictions.
The message is also to be given to the change in the people that they can get the benefit of many welfare schemes of the Center by removing 370. This message is also to be given that now there is no difference between Jammu and Kashmir and other states of the country. Residents here can also take advantage of all central schemes. The purpose of the visit is to take feedback from the public on the implementation of central schemes.
36 ministers have already visited.
On the lines of the Northeast, the Central Government had send the Union Ministers in the region last year. 36 ministers had camped across the state. However, due to Corona, this tour had to be postponed midway. During the tenure of the then Lieutenant Governor GC Murmu, the ministers visited different parts of the Union Territory and established dialogue with the public.
