Special Task Force to develop sense of empowerment amongst teachers
The Directorate of School Education Kashmir has asked the Education Reformation Committee at District and Zonal Level Committees, District and Zonal Levels to liaise with concerned Chief Education Officers and Zonal Education Officers for the ongoing Enrolment Drive for making it a success.
The Education Reformation Committee was framed on the directions of Lieutenant Governor Jammu and Kashmir earlier this year. Whereas, the DSEK last week directed officials to conduct a one-month long massive drive across the valley.
An order in this regard has been issued by the Director of School Education Kashmir Tassaduq Hussain Mir.
“Since Education Reform Committees have been framed on the directions of Lieutenant Governor UT of J&K with the following role, responsibility, to assess & improvise the Learning Level of students, to make recommendations for making the best use of asset utilization, enhancing Learning Outcomes, increasing the enrollment, bringing out scientific temper and thought process in the minds of students to inculcate the secular and democratic values in them.
“As per the directions of higher authorities, these committees shall work as a Special Task Force for giving a paradigm shift to the school Education system so that it will help to develop a sense of empowerment amongst teachers, making them more responsive and accountable towards their duties”, the order reads.
Pertinently this Directorate has announced Grand Enrolment Drive to campaign for new enrollment in our schools bring back out of school children, Children with Special Needs (CWSN) and children from Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Group (SEDGs) into the fold of Education and mainstream them. In this respect, the Education Reform Committees at District and Zonal Levels are advised to liaise with concerned Chief Education Officers and Zonal Education Officers for the ongoing Enrolment Drive for making it a success, the order added.
