Panel to check IGNOU centers
The Jammu and Kashmir Higher Education Department has constituted two-member committees to conduct an inquiry into the functioning of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) centers in various Government Degree Colleges (GDC’s) of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
An order in this regard has been issued by Sushma Chauhan, Secretary to the Government, Higher Education Department.
“In supersession of Government Order No.250-JK (HE) of 2021 dated 11.08.2021, the sanction is hereby accorded to the appointment of Abdul Majid Bhat, Director Finance, Higher Education Department as Inquiry Officer and assisted by Yasmeen Ashai, Director Colleges J&K for conducting an inquiry into the functioning of IGNOU Centers in various Government Degree Colleges of Union Territory of J&K. The inquiry officer shall conduct in-depth inquiry into the matter and submit a report within one month”, the order reads.
