Interview with Ravinder Bhat #CulturalConnect series

There is a notion that mother tongue Kashmiri is used Ans loved primarily by illiterate population. The educated Kashmiri origin people love and prefer Urdu, Hindi and English. This has to change. Educated population has to accept and promote their mother tongue too. That is what will ensure the survival of Kashmir. Ravinder Bhat , retired bank official, who is also a Kashmiri Language enthusiast mentioned this to Rohit Bhat in an interview with TRN. In its #CulturalConnect series TRN is talking to various experts about the art, culture and language of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a reply to a question about how difficult or easy it is to learn Kashmiri, Ravinder Bhat said that it can be easily learnt if you know Hindi or Urdu. With some additional vowel signs Kashmiri can be written both in Devnagri and Nastaliq.
