SKIMS to get dir soon as panel shortlist 15 doctors
The administration has shortlisted 15 candidates out of 36 applicants for the interaction before the selection committee for the post of Director, Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Science (SKlMS) Soura.
The tenure of current Director SKIMS & Ex-Officio Secretary to Government Prof. A. G. Ahangar will be ending on 31st December. Whereas, in the month of June, the government had extended the tenure of Prof. A. G. Ahangar as Director SKIMS & Ex-Officio Secretary to Government till 31st December.
Further, Health and Medical Education Department on 6th September 2021 invited online applications on prescribed proforma from Indian Nationals for the position of Director, SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar.
The advertisement notification was kept available on the official website of SKIMS, Soura Srinagar. The date of submission of applications was with effect from 08th September to 7th October 2021. In response, 36 applications were received.
While as a screening committee was constituted by the administration last month, which scrutinized vis-a-vis the prescribed qualifications and required experience of over 36 candidates. Accordingly, the screening committee submitted its report in the General Administration Department, where under the committee has shortlisted the following fifteen (15) candidates:
As per the list available with The News Now, the name of shortlisting candidates include Dr. Yogesh Kumar Sarin Director Professor and Head of the Department of Pediatric Surgery Lady Hardinge Medical College and Associated Kalawati Saran, Dr. Nisar Ahmad Bhat, Dr. Altaf Umar Ramzan, Dr. Omar Javed Shah, Dr. Showkat Ali Mufti.
It also includes Dr. Parvaiz Ahmad Koul, Dr. Ghulam Nabi Lone, Dr. Bashir Ahmad Laway, Dr. Showkat Ahmad, Dr. Naseer Ahmed Mir, Dr. Reyaz Ahmad Untoo, Dr. Adil Hafeez Wani, Dr. Mohammad Saleem Wani, Dr. Abdul Wahid Khan and Dr. Tariq Ahmad Gojwari.
The selected candidates will have interaction before the Selection Committee for the post of Director, SKlMS, Soura, Srinagar will be held on 28th December 2021 in the Meeting Hall 2nd floor, Civil Secretariat, Jammu. The candidates have been asked to make a brief presentation (3-5 slides) before the Selection Committee on their vision about the Institution (SKIMS) and the way forward.
