Govt to meet Pvt schools assn

Jammu and Kashmir Government will be holding consultation with stakeholders of Private Schools Association (PSA) on December 12 at Teachers Bhawan to listen to their grievances.

As per the notification issued by the Directorate of School Education, Jammu, Government will hold consultation with the main stakeholder. i.e., the Private Un-aided Schools Association of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Principal Secretary Government School Education Department will convene a meeting for Consultation with the main stakeholders on December 12 at 11.00 A.M in Teacher Bhawan, Jammu.

The meeting has been convened to discuss the issues including restoration of Order No: 01-FFC of 2019 dated 28.01.2019 by which it was ordered for automatic increase of School Fee by 6 percent per annum, which was revoked on 18.02.2021 without consultation of stakeholders.

Automatic hike in School Fee 8-10, every year at par with neighboring states viz. Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and U.P and revisit of Draft Jammu and Kashmir Private Schools /Fixation Determination and Regulation of Feel Rules, 2021 in consultation with concerned stakeholders. As such, the following officers/stakeholders are requested to attend the meeting on scheduled date, time and venue.

Other stakeholders comprising Director School Education, Kashmir, Chief Education Officer, Jammu, Principal, DIET, Jammu, President, Private Un-Aided Schools Association, President, Private Schools Association, J&K, President, CBSE Schools Association, President, Low Budget Schools Association, J&K and Parents Associations of Private Schools, J&K.
