Police organises one day workshop on UAPA Act in Budgam

Police in Budgam have organised one day workshop programme on UAPA Act at Conference Hall District Police Headquarters Budgam.

SSP Budgam Shri Tahir Saleem Khan-JKPS presided over the workshop session. He welcomed the investigating officers in the workshop and expressed his pleasure to be the part of the programme. He said that each day is a learning experience for all of us, investigation is the most important part of our work and stressed upon the officers to make optimum use of this opportunity to hone their investigation skills and update them.

The workshop was also attended by ASP Budgam Shri Gowhar Ahmad-JKPS, CPO Courts Budgam, DySP Headquarters Budgam, DySP Ops Budgam, SDPO Khansahib, SDPO Magam, SDPO Charar-e-Sharief and other officers.

Senior Prosecuting Officer Budgam Shri Voonesh Sangotra threw light on UAPA Act and briefed officers regarding sensational cases of UAPA and important provisions of IPC, CrPC and evidence Act in relation to UAPA. He also discussed the evidence collection, recovery & preservation of evidences especially electronic evidences.

SSP Budgam during his concluding remarks advised the participating officers about the importance of proper documentation in investigations, scene of crime management, Court craft, intelligence collection and Do’s and Don’ts during investigation.
