4 more teachers terminated for unauthorized absenteeism

The education department has terminated four more teachers in Kashmir from remaining unauthorized absent from duties.

The termination of four teachers comes days after the education department terminated nine teachers, taking the tally to 26 since November last year.

An order has been issued in this regard by the Directorate of School Education Kashmir. The teachers suspended have been identified as Ashaq Parvez Mir, Mohammad Saleem Dar, Shazia Shafeeq and Fatima Jameel.

As per the order issued, Ashaq Parvez Mir, Teacher, UPS Kachree, Kupwara remained un-authorizedly absent from duties w.e.f. 06th May 2012 and despite providing of enough opportunities to resume his duties by the Drawing & Disbursing officer concerned neither he responded to the notices nor resumed his duties; and
The teacher was again provided opportunities through a joint show-cause notice. Neither the teacher again presented himself before this Directorate nor responded to these notices, indicating thereby that he is not interested to work in the Department; and “Now, therefore, pursuant to the decision of the committee, Ashaq Parvez Mir, Teacher, UPS Kachree, Kupwara is hereby removed from the Government service in terms of Article 113 of J&K Civil Services Rules (Volume 1) of 1956 and Rule 30 (VII) of J&KCCA rules 1956”, the order reads.

Whereas, Mohammad Saleem Dar, Teacher, GMS Aripanthan, Budgam applied for six-month leave along with station leave permission for completion of his PhD programme, but in anticipation of sanction of leave/station leave permission he left the station and as such remained absent from his legitimate duties w.e.f. 27th March 2015

The teacher was again provided opportunities by this office on 06th July 2021 (through a joint show-cause notice). Neither the teacher presented himself before this Directorate nor responded to these notices, indicating thereby that he is not interested to work in the Department

“Now, therefore, pursuant to the decision of the committee, Mohammad Saleem Dar, Teacher, GMS Aripanthan, Budgam is hereby removed from the Government service in terms of Article 113 of J&K Civil Services Rules (Volume I) of 1956 and Rule 30 (VII) of J&KCCA rules 1956”, the order reads.

Shazia Shafeeq was appointed in the Department on 1st September 2014 as a Teacher and was subsequently posted at HS Gundishath, Kupwara. The said teacher as per the order remained un-authorizedly absent from her legitimate duties w.e.f. 01st June 2015, without completion of probation period of 2 years.

Despite providing of enough opportunities to resume her duties by the Drawing & Disbursing officer concerned neither she responded to the notices nor resumed her duties; and

“The said absconding teacher was provided more opportunities by this office, whereas, neither the teacher presented herself before this Directorate nor responded to these notices, indicating thereby that she is not interested to work in the Department. Now, therefore, pursuant to the decision of the committee, Shazia Shafeeq, Teacher, HS Gundishath, Kupwara is hereby removed from the Government service in terms of Article 113 of J&K Civil Services Rules (Volume I) of 1956 and Rule 30 (VII) of J&KCCA rules 1956”, the order reads.

Fatima Jameel, High School Padshahibagh, Srinagar remained unauthorizedly absent from her legitimate duties w.e.f. 1st March 2016 and despite providing of enough opportunities to resume her duties by the Drawing & Disbursing officer concerned neither she responded to the notices nor resumed her duties. The said absconding teacher was provided more opportunities by this office wherein she was asked to present herself before this Directorate, whereas, neither the teacher presented herself before this Directorate nor responded to these notices, indicating thereby that she is not interested to work in the Department.

“Now, therefore, pursuant to the decision of the committee, Fatima Jameel, HS Padshahibagh, Srinagar is hereby removed from the Government service in terms of Article 113 of J&K Civil Services Rules (Volume I) of 1956 and Rule 300 (VII) of J&KCCA rules 1956”, the order reads.
