Police organises Webinar on stress management in Budgam

Police in Budgam have organised a Webinar on stress management under the title of “Stress and mental health of police personnel in current scenario and remedies thereof”.

The speakers on the occasion were Dr. Nisar Ahmad Wani Professor Psychology and Mrs. Insha Hassan in charge of Drug De-addiction Centre  Budgam. Police personnel posted across the district especially on out guard posts participated in the programme.

During the webinar, the coping mechanism to manage stress were discussed particularly in the present Covid-19 pandemic. The participants were encouraged to change their lifestyles and thinking patterns. Dr Nisar highlighted the stress management mechanisms vis-a-vis skills to be adopted to achieve the same. A cognitive psycho-therapeutic method was also deliberated by the guest speaker Mrs. Insha who highlighted the mental aspects of stress management.
