Police facilitates PCPG meetings in Ganderbal, Baramulla

As a part of public outreach programme, Police facilitated Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meetings Ganderbal and Baramulla. The meetings were held while following social distancing norms and other protocols.

The PCPG meeting in Ganderbal was organised on the directions of SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS and was chaired by DySP Hqrs Ganderbal Shri Ghulam Hassan-JKPS besides, SHO PS Ganderbal and other officers were also present. The meeting was attended by respectable citizens of the area.

During the meeting, participants raised various issues including drug addiction, molestation, theft, hoarding and black marketing, encroachment etc.  The chairing officer assured the participants that their genuine grievances will be resolved on priority while as the other issues will be taken up with concerned authorities for their early redressal. The participants were requested to follow CAB and requested to educate others also.

Similarly, Police in Baramulla also facilitated a PCPG meeting at Police Post Palhalan and was chaired by SDPO Pattan Shri Mohammad Nawaz-JKPS besides, SHO PS Pattan and other officers were also present. The meeting was attended by respectable citizens, members of Auqaf Committees, Numberdars, Chowkidars, Traders Federation and Fruit Associations of the area.

During the meeting participants raised various issues of public importance. The chairing officer assured the participants that their genuine grievances will be resolved on priority while as the other issues will be taken up with concerned authorities for their early redressal. The participants were stressed to co-operate with Police and administration in maintaining L&O in the area and in identifying anti-national/social elements who always try to disrupt the peaceful environment.

The participants in these meetings assured their full cooperation to the Police in tackling social evils. They also appreciated the efforts of Police in facilitating such meetings where people could express their notions and opinions freely.
