PM Modi reaches Ahmedabad on two day visit to Gujarat
Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Ahmedabad airport a short while ago on a two day visit to Gujarat. This is his first visit to Gujarat after the Covid19 pandemic. Governor of Gujarat Acharya Devvrat, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel along with senior ministers and top officials received Prime Minister Modi at Ahmedabad airport.
At present, Prime Minister Modi is holding a 9-kilometer long roadshow from Ahmedabad airport to Kamalam- the State BJP headquarter in Gandhinagar. Mr. Modi is receiving warm welcome by the lakhs of people and party workers gathered alongside the road.

Prime Minister Modi is travelling in a decorated open jeep along with Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and State BJP President C.R. Patil during this roadshow. Cultural and traditional groups are also performing their dance on the route of Prime Minister Modi’s roadshow.
Students evacuated from trouble hit Ukraine along with their parents are also seen welcoming the Prime Minister during this roadshow.
Our correspondent reports that after the roadshow, Prime Minister Modi will meet senior party leaders at the state BJP headquarter in Gandhinagar. Mr. Modi will also attend a series of functions during his two-day visit.
These include Maha- Panchayat Sammelan to be held at GMDC ground in Ahmedabad this evening. About 1.4 lakh elected representatives, including members of taluka and district panchayats and municipal councilors will participate in this Sammelan.
On Saturday- the second day of his visit, Prime Minister Modi will dedicate the Rashtriya Raksha University- an institute of national importance to the nation near Gandhinagar.
He will also attend the first Convocation Ceremony of the Rashtriya Raksha University and deliver the convocation address. Union Minister of Home and Cooperation Amit Shah will deliver the presidential address on this occasion.
Later in the evening, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the ‘Khel Mahakumbh’ programme at Sardar Patel stadium in Ahmedabad.
More than 47 lakh people have registered for this state-level sports event. Different games will be organized at over 500 venues across the state during this Khel Mahakumbh. Mr. Modi will also launch a new sports policy of Gujarat on this occasion.
