PM Modi hails GeM over achieving order value of Rs.1 lakh crore in a year

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed happiness that Government e-Marketplace (GeM) has achieved an order value of one lakh crore rupees in a single year. In a tweet, Mr. Modi said, this is a significant increase from previous years.

He said, the GeM platform is especially empowering Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, with 57 percent of order value coming from MSME sector.

GeM has provided the government procurement agencies an option to select MSME vendors for procurement which has helped MSMEs to significantly increase their sales.
