Five suspects held from dist. Kathua

Ahead Prime Minister visit, the security forces lifted five suspects and launched search operation in district Kathua to thwart any untoward incident.

Credible sources informed, the suspects were lifted on specific inputs four days before the arrival of Prime Minister Narender Modi at Palli village in Samba.

Official sources said that cops on specific information conducted a raid in the Marheen area and apprehended suspects from there who have been identified as Shah Hussain alias Makhan Din of Amritsar, Roshi, Mohd. Ali, Lalu all residents of village Marheen and one Arjun of Katra.

Later on, the Shah Hussain was brought to Police Station Rajbagh and others were taken to police post-Marheen for further proceedings and inquiry.

After that, a search operation was also started at the house of Shah Hussain and its surroundings. During the search, a bag was also recovered which contained some documents and five mobile phones.

Later, two of them namely Shah Hussain and Arjun Sharma were handed over to the Special Operation Group, SOG, in Jammu for further questioning.
