Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar Two panels framed to ensure participation of J&K schools

The Jammu and Kashmir administration has constituted two committees for screening and nominations of Schools for participation in Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar.

“Sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of UT Level Screening Committee and District Level Screening Committees, comprising the following, for screening/selecting nominations of Schools for participating in Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar (SVP) 2021-22”, reads the order issued by Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, Principal/Secretary to the Government.

As per the order, Principal Secretary to the Government, School Education Department shall be the Chairman of the UT Level Screening Committee. The committee will have 13 members including the Chairman.

The other members include Director School Education, Jammu, Director School Education, Kashmir, Director Health Services, Jammu, Director Health Services, Kashmir, Director Health Services, Kashmir, Director Rural Development, Jammu, Director Rural Development, Kashmir, Chief Engineer Jal Shakti, Jammu, Chief Engineer Jal Shakti , Kashmir, Director Urban Local Bodies, Jammu, Director Urban Local Bodies Kashmir, two eminent school teachers (Government Schools) and Representatives of Civil Society Organization( Members to be nominated by Administrative Secretary, School Education Department).

The committee will screen nominations received from Districts, select schools for the purpose between 22-05-2022 to 30-06-2022 and submit nominations for the National Award upto 22-05-2022.

Further, the District Level Screening Committee will have six members and will be headed by the Deputy Commissioner (or any other officer nominated by the Deputy Commissioner). The other members of the committee includes Chief Education Officer (concerned), Superintendent Engineer/Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti Department, Chief Medical Officer (concerned), three eminent School Teachers of the District (Government Schools) and Representatives of Civil Society/ NGOs in the District (To be nominated by Deputy Commissioner)

The committee will screen applications received from schools for SVP-2021-22 and will select schools for consideration of the UT Level Screening Committee by 15-05-2022.
